Work on the revival of Red Dead Redemption on PC is stopped
We do not know will the upcoming Red Dead Redemption 2 come out for PC, and we have never received any real port units. It is possible to play it on PC via PlayStation Now service. But, streaming of the PS3 version is not nearly as favourable as much as one remaster or good port that we could already get by now.
The group of modders .White decided to take matters into their own hands and move an entire map of Red Dead Redemption in the PC version of GTA 5, and later then add more content to get closer to the original. Mod is scheduled for release this summer and yesterday we got the video progress, but it was very quickly removed and we found out that the work on the project was suspended.
One of the modders on GTAforums has explained that they were contacted by someone from Rockstar and Take-Two Interactive and they had to stop with work. Developers have the right to do that at any time, but still is not entirely clear why would this mode bothered them as opposed to all the others. Immediately speculation have started that RDR 2 will arrive on the PC, and together with the game also remaster units.
