Teen jailed for two years in prison due to DDOS attack on Minecraft
The British judiciary in the case of hacker Adam Mudd sent a clear message - criminal acts on the Internet will not be tolerated even when it comes to juveniles. Adam Mudd, in his 16th year, made the DDOS Titanium Stresser program, later sold to his clientele whose attacks have disabled Xbox Live, PlayStation Network, Minecraft, Runescpae, Team Speak and several other services. The punishment has arrived - two years in prison.
Mudd admitted that some DDOS attacks he carried out personally, but he claimed that money was never a motivator rather than doing it to gain status in the online community. His attorney tried to get him out of the coffin with the story of being lost in alternative reality by pulling out of school for abuse in school and knowing that the wrong thing he just did not sympathize with his victims.
The most significant consequence of Mudd's work was on Christmas 2014 when Xbox Live and PlayStation Network were hit at the same time, which particularly irritated the users because many of them just got the XBO and PS4 consoles at the time and could not use the network services on them.
