Startup Services on Aurora R5

  • 5

Hi everyone. :)

I was going through Services in msconfig and noticed the following services which I've never heard of:

Energy Server Service

ioloEnergyBooster

Killer Service V2

User Energy Server Service queencreek

Please would you be able to tell me what these services do and whether I should disable them or leave them enabled?

Many thanks in advance. :)

I am sorry - the only one I recognize is 'Killer Service V2' - for your Killer Ethernet connection.

Hi @OddestGoddess :}

I have only just noticed that you replied to my post. Yes I know, 3 years?? It doesn't feel like it's been that long. Time goes by scarily fast. I'm really sorry I didn't reply then.

Yes, the Killer Network Service is for the Killer Software Suite/Killer Control Center along with 3 other services... KNDBWM (lKiller Dynamic Bandwidth Service), xTendSoftAPService (Killer WiFi xTend Service) and xTendUtilityService (Killer xTend Utility Service),

The ioloEnergyBooster service is for the Power Options in the Alienware Command Center. I may be wrong but I'm assuming that the Energy Server Service & User Energy Server Service are also part of the Alienware Command Center.

Maybe this info will be useful to others in the future.
