Rocket League got a free week to celebrate its birthday
Psyonix, the devs behind RL, have announced that the game will be free to play from July 10th to July 15th on Steam and Xbonx:
It's still technically Rocket League's birthday week. To keep the celebration going, the full game will be free on @Xbox and @steam_games all weekend starting tomorrow! Bring your friends! More info: http://bit.ly/RL-Free-Wknd
Also anything earned during the free week will carry over if you plan to buy the game after this offer ends:
Any items that are earned from the Free Weekend will carry over to the full game if you decide to purchase Rocket League during or following the Free Weekend.
As part of its 4th b-day the devs have also added a new in-game event called Radical Summer:
Our '80s-themed in-game event is in full swing. Earn Cassettes from playing Online Matches, which can be redeemed for unique in-game items inspired by '80s culture. Jump into Casual, Competitive, and Extra modes, or try out the new limited-time mode, Spike Rush.
You'll have until Monday July 15, 10:00 a.m. PDT (5:00 p.m. UTC) to try out the game.
