1. GTA V

2. The Witcher

3.Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice

4.The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

5.League of Legends Pre season 5 (2009-2014)

My opinion, what do you think?

We are going to make rankings at the end of next year, when the decade is ending. There is one more year of games to come!

Are you still somehow living in 2019?

That's not precisely correct. Apparently there's no official statement regarding it, but majority agree that 0-9 makes the most sense for a decade. As Andrew Novick of the National Institute of Standards and Technology said: "If you wanted to say something that happened in 1990 was really in the decade of the '80s, you know, just date-wise, it's kind of confusing".

Yeah, right, this is something slightly different, hera we are talking about "-ties" (eighties, twenties etc.) and it is period of ten year with the same penultimate digit. But century decade is period between x1 and (x+1)0 ;-)

It is easier to understand if you consider, that there were no year 0, ( 1 BCE, 1 CE) and first decade of our era ends in year 10 (31st of December to be exact).

Do for the sake of discussion and better understanding it is recommended to use term "-ties" for such period, and decade for periods between x1 and (x+1)0.

I haven't seen anywhere a term "century decade" being used, I don't know if that's your own construction.

I understand where the difference comes from (though I admit I didn't know there was one until 2 days ago), but I also don't see why the need to continue the confusion that was introduced with the Gregorian calendar. Majority of the tested in the US prefer the cardinal rather than the ordinal counting, and I'd bet it's mostly the same throughout the world. Even the astronomical year uses cardinal counting. It's really integrated in our lives much more through "'ties" as you call them. I don't think I've met anyone who referred to decades with ordinal counting.

Every decade has its own kind of games and they have their own kind of flair. Liked Quake 1 a lot but also shooters that followed. Like COD1.
