Tank Mechanic Simulator Released!

  • 175

1 and a half years ago we could get our hands on a testing key for the then-upcoming game Tank Mechanic Simulator. A game developed by DeGenerals and published by PlayWay. Already from the beginning, you could see that this game was going to be a very promising mechanic simulator for all those who are interested in tanks and how they are built.

Months passed and many suggestions, bugs, problems, ideas and so much more were passed towards the developers from within the testing community. This all happened through their official Discord server on which there was already a huge interest and activity. It didn't take long before there were some contributors appointed by the developers (of which I'm one). Those contributors had a very good understanding of the direction the developers wanted to go in and tried to help out as much as possible with feedback, information and lots of blueprints for tanks and parts of tanks. The communication between community and developers was and still is one of the best I've ever experienced! They, of course, had their own roadmap but still, they listened very carefully to what the community, and certainly the contributors, had to say.

Although the game was very well built, it got postponed twice. Four days ago, on the 20th of February 2020, one year after the first postponement, the game got released! Finally, the game got passed the PlayWay's QA (Quality Assurance) and was ready for the greater public!

At the moment of writing, you can buy the game on Steam with a 25% discount, which comes to 12.59€ instead of 16.79€.

What is the game about?

Tank Mechanic Simulator is all about finding tanks and restoring them. As a player, you are the owner of a tank workshop with a belonging museum. You have to head out in the wild and excavate tanks after which you restore them to their original state. On top of that, you also get orders from other people to restore, repair or paint their tanks, for which you get paid.

Things you can do in the game:

  • Searching for tanks using a metal detector, a magnetic detector, a drone, etc.
  • Excavating the tank
  • Cleaning the tank
  • De-rusting, sanding, putting primer and paint on the tank
  • Adding decals, camo, etc.
  • Repairing tank parts
  • Outsourcing repairs
  • Disassembling and assembling tanks
  • Keeping tanks in your museum, for which you can sell entree tickets and earn extra money.

The bottom line is: if you are a tank fanatic and you are really interested in not only how a tank looks like but also how they are built up, then this mechanic simulator game is certainly something for you! Get it now on Steam
