I think open worlds are kind of a timesink, but there are a few good ones I've found. Specifically, The Witcher 3, RDR2, Subnautica, Kingdom Come: Deliverance, Skyrim, Middle Earth: SoW, even AC: Odyssey though combat & quests were generic and it was way too open or Horizon: Zero Dawn if you like robot dinosaurs. Also try Breath of the Wild if you get a Switch. The only ones I haven't finished yet are BoTW, AC:O, KC:D & Skyrim. Oh, also Borderlands 2 and Fallout: New Vegas if you like older games.
