Alienware M18 Replacement screen P19E001

  • 1

Hi,

I've cracked my laptop screen, can anyone help me find a replacement laptop screen (hopefully in the UK)  as I'm having no luck, unless I'm blind :/

In my original order it's listed as 391-BBDS 18.4 inch (467.36mm) WLED FHD (1920 X 1080) TrueLife Display.

I'm seeing some listings abroad stating

1.Non Touch Raw Screen.
2.No Touch glass over lay , Bezel and Board included. This is not Touch Screen Assembly

I don't have any idea  what that means. If anyone can help.

Thanks

Hello, The 18 never came with a touch option, only the standard 1920x1080 LCD.

The Raw screen is usually just the actual LCD panel. You will then have to remove your broken panel from the display assembly and fit the new display. The second option you listed sounds like it's the full display assembly without the hard LCD lid. Be very careful with the display cables as they can be fragile.

I've never removed the LCD panel on the 18 so I can't tell you how difficult it is. The 17 R1 is quite simple compared to the older M17x/M18x series as the panels.

Do you know where I can buy them in the UK? They seem to be very hard to find anywhere.

Thanks

You're best to remove the LCD panel from the display assembly and look for the manufacture part number. I can only guess that it's a Samsung panel but the 18.4" panel may be different.

Just had a look while writing this and yes it's a Samsung panel - LTM184HL01

Try searching for this and maybe there is a local supplier
