Hopefully the "Mystery Game" will be something good for that huge amount of ARP but I'm not encouraged that it will be since they want 2600 ARP for that very crappy and cheap looking black and white game.

2500 points? ouch

Inflation was inevitable, but I suspect the higher prices are (mostly) a reflection of the 500+ ARP a fair number of people earned through the Path of Exile event.  They have to make people burn through that ARP somehow.  Additionally, I would imagine there are a number of people who grab keys every month, since (assuming you can complete the Steam Quests and you use your boosters strategically) it's relatively easy to earn the 1500-1800 ARP they've been charging, and they're maybe hoping to spread things around a bit more by making people either burn through their ARP (and maybe not be able to earn enough back for the next vault) or get more selective about which games they go for (instead of just grabbing something simply because they can).

After getting Unpacking last month, I should just manage to hit 2500-2600 ARP by the time the vault opens.  So, if 2500 ARP is to be the new average price, I'm faced with the choice of either buying one of the games this month or waiting/saving, hoping that next month's vault offerings are something I really want.  Because there's no chance I'll get back up to 2500 ARP in a month.

Guess the Mystery Game? Let others know!

I don't know what the mystery game will be but there is an error in your posting.  Eyes in The Dark game is rated at 77%, not 74%

EDIT:

I see you tried to edit your posting after my comment.  I don't know why it's so difficult for you to understand it is 74%!!  Did you even look at my screenshot?

I completely AGREE!

I'm thinking it's going to be either We Happy Few or Risk of Rain 2.

Eyes in the Dark is a game published by Gearbox and Have a Nice Death is also published by them and was a game in the Vault last month.

I don't think it looks crappy or cheap, but I do think that 2600 ARP for it is pricey compared to the ARP prices for what was in the Vault previously.

There may be a different criteria or the page was updated since the time of writing when you noticed it. It's literally not a thing to fuss over.
