Alienware Discord and earning ARP with Discord

Alienware Arena is now officially on Discord.
 

Join the Alienware Discord!

 

Alienware Arena has its own section on Alienware and special channels just for you guys. Sync your profile and gain access to exclusive channels and take part in Discord polls. Periodic polls that give you ARP for answering a single question. 

Hang with the community. Discuss progress in games and events. Find help for issues you're having here on Alienware Arena. What can't Discord do? 

Step 1: 

Make sure your Discord account is connected to your Alienware Arena account.

  1. Log in to your account on Alienware Arena
  2. Navigate to your accounts page: https://www.alienwarearena.com/account
  3. Select the Discord icon under connected accounts. If its white, its not connected. If its blue, it is.
  4. Connect your Discord account

Note: Your AWA and Discord emails must match.

Step 2:

Join the Discord and navigate to the Alienware Arena #arena-chat channel.  

Step 3: 

Sync your profile to Discord. (refer to the steps on Discord #arena-connected)

why some chat channels are hidden? (f.e. I can't see #arena-chat and #arena-connected channels)

Unless they changed something, you need to sync in Discord for those channels to become avaialble:

"Sync your account on Discord

Make sure your Discord account is connected to your AWA account (The above step)
In one of the Arena channels, type /sync-profile. Note: this must be typed and command selected. Do not Copy/Paste. 
You should now see new channels available to you."

When I try to sync my account in Discord I get this message: "Looks like you're trying to sync your Arena account! Head down to #arena-chat and type it in there!"

The problem is that I don't have #arena-chat on AWA Discord, only other channels and I tried all channels that I could post to. Any help would be appreciated!

EDIT. Problem solved! I had to choose "show all channels" from the "top menu", now I can see #arena-chat :)

They apparently changed something.  I'd connected last week, and then it was possible to type it in any channel on the Alienware discord server.  Back then, the ones specific to ARP gain only became available after the sync, but the rest could be seen from the moment you used the invite.
