What microtransactions? You need "only" two and a half years to unlock everything in the game
Just like many other games with a focus on multiplayer, Ubisoft`s For Honor has cosmetic and mechanical accessories that you can buy with the currency in the game called Steel, and when you run out of that currency you can compensate it for real money. So is to believe that people are willing to invest in these accessories.
But, this weekend on Reddit appeared a lengthy analysis of the game`s microtransaction system and it turned out that to unlock all features for all 12 heroes we need 1,098,000 Steel aka 7.32 packages of 100 dollars, ie. 732 dollars. Steel is earned after every match and with special occasions, and is calculated that players who play for fun a few hours a day should need more than two and a half years to achieve this.
Some fans have attacked user who analyzed the game, but there`s on Reddit also those who continue to believe that it is not okay to pay the full cost of the game and than suffer such microtransactions. Generally it is said that such a business model is okay as long it is only about cosmetic items, but it seems as if everything has its limits, and probably could be found and worse examples than For Honor.
What do you think of this policy? Do you pay for the little things in the game with real money?
