Smite Patch 4.6 : Racer Rumble

  • 311

So in this patch we get some pretty awesome skins, highly recommend checking them out.

The new adventures game mode features a brand new style of play, but familiar. It's literally Mario Kart with Smite characters.

Hades get's some damage buffs and has some of his guardian qualities taken away. So now Hades is going to be busting numbers!

Skadi's ultimate is nerfed, and I don't think it was necessary. Kaldr no longer is immune to damage when Skadi pops her ultimate, but he still heals up.

Short patch, but some major changes, what do ya'll think?

I'm still waiting for a native version of this game for GNU/Linux... The problem is whether they have the ability to program it in vulkan (API) :)

Been playing the game for a year now and I have to say it's been experiencing meta shifts left and right. The healer meta (Chang'e, Ra, Aphrodite, Sylvanus picks) where people would be in a battle and heal up to almost full because of the healers on the team and continue to engage in a fight has just been shifted for example. It's a little upsetting because the healing wasn't insanely op to take a healing item and absolutely crush it. Now the god (character) isn't going to be good enough to be played anymore which sucks.

SMITE has been getting a quiet rise of players, I began to notice it when I first started playing, almost 100 people would only watch the pros play, but now for even the lowest tier game or any tournament, they have a absurd amount of fans watching and in the chat spamming. Ranked has been more competitive than ever this season with a new rank of Grandmaster where only the top 25 players in the world can achieve it.

SMITE's looking good, just Hi-Rez's employees like to mess around with the game and see what they can do. (Also, money!)
