That could be Mass Effect Andromeda, if there were children
At an early stage of the development of Mass Effect Andromeda, the team of artists dedicated a week to doing just that they came up with different cool ideas. One of them, which never got into the final game, could make Mass Effect much more alive. It's about the children.
Adding children to the big open world is a great step towards creating a world that lives and develops. In The Witcher 3, this created a subconscious understanding - if there are children, then people live here, spend time, do business. Not all characters and not all places should be for adults only.
Unfortunately for one reason or another, BioWare decided not to add children to Andromeda, but you can look at the artworks of Ben Lo (ArtStation) to look at his vision.
