Publisher Paradox Interactive and Harebrained Schemes announced today at a conference in Stockholm that a turn-based strategy with BattleTech furs will be published by Paradox and be released this year.

BattleTech develops in the long established universe of desktop games, for the first time in 20 years, leaving the PC as a tactical title. The development is led by Jordan Weisman - the creator of the original BattleTech and MechWarrior. In addition, the team includes Mitch Gitelman - producer of the series MechCommander and Mike McCain - creative director of the series Shadowrun.

BattleTech is in development for quite some time, successfully raising funds for Kickstarter. The deal with Paradox will not only let out the best possible title, but also do it all over the world.

The release of BattleTech was scheduled for May 2017, but during the conference it was said about 2017th year. Most likely you will have to wait a little longer.

Well, Paradox has a very good taste of games that they publish, so I believe this can be a very good game. And hey, this game has mechas! :D

I'm always intrigued by mech games, and this looks interesting, though not sure I'm up for a turn-based strategy game
