Beyond Good and Evil 2 is like GTA, only in space

Beyond Good and Evil 2 was definitely the most pleasant surprise of Ubisoft's E3 conference this year, if not the entire E3. But as it is a prequel to the 14 years old game, or about a game that has already been announced but apparently canceled, to many in fact it is not clear what that Beyond Good and Evil 2 actually supposed to represent.

Creator of the game Michel Ancel clarified a little the situation by making a very ambitious comparison:

"Beyond Good and Evil 2 is like GTA, only in space, in three dimensions. You can get out of Chinese restaurants, jump in your spaceship, fly through the atmosphere to your big spaceship, and then change the planet. All this takes place without load and you can be attacked while doing this. "- explained Ancel.

Deja vu on No Man's Sky? Maybe, but two things are go in favor of Ubisoft's hit. The original game in 2003 actually was one of the first Ubisoft`s game of open type then surprised the players for its flexibility - it was a platformer, stealth title, racing game and action-adventure - all by need. The second thing that goes in favor of the game is that Ubisoft Montpellier very cautiously approached the realization of their ambitions.

"We waited for three years and only worked on technology that will run the game, so a player really can travel through space to different planets. Not just empty, generated or silly planets rather places with real towns and logical links between them. And even with all the simulations of the moon, gravity and similar. We had to be sure, before we came to E3, will we really be able to deliver the game that we promised. "- said Michel Ancel to twitch.

And we hope that they`ll fulfil their promises, but for now everything remains on hoping because shots of gameplay we have not seen. Moreover, we have not seen how the game looks, but we got a few conceptual drawings and subsequent details about the game. Even though was not announced on which platforms Beyond Good and Evil 2 should come, if you sign up to test the game on this page, you will be greeted with question about preferred platform so we are confident that the game will come to PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

We also learned some details about the characters that have appeared in the trailer and will very likely be among the main team of the protagonists and antagonists. Talkative monkey who steals money in the trailer is called Knox, and according to the description is always looking for trouble. Piggy which monkey steals money from is called Zhou Yuzhu and in free time is a ruthless crime boss. Part of female characters team is led by Shani - Biker and mechanic Somali origin; then Dakini, mysterious captain of the ship called Gada.
