The first episode of The Pillars of the Earth from the creators of Deponia received the release date

Developers from the studio Daedalic named the exact release date for the first episode of The Pillars of the Earth. Book 1: From the Ashes will be released on PC on Steam, Xbox One and PS4 on August 15 this year.

The Pillars of the Earth will be completely executed in 2D-format, and the plot of the game is served on behalf of three different characters. With each of them, the player will experience his unique story, which will show the general events in the project world from his point of view. The developers claim that there is no need to pre-read the same novel by Ken Follett in order to understand everything that is happening in the game, but the knowledge of the source can make the passage richer and more interesting.

The dates of publication of the second and third books of The Pillars of the Earth are still unknown.
