Ubisoft annoyed players of Watch Dogs 2

  • 24

Yesterday the Americans celebrated Independence Day, and the French company Ubisoft on that occasion tried to win sympathy of American players. In Watch Dogs 2 like that they added the animation and sound of the fireworks that in the game appears every night, and should appear until 10th of July.

However, virtual fireworks annoyed a larger number of players - every 24th minute a 8-minute shooting would occur. Ubisoft had to react to this and remove the celebration.

How they say, a bug sneaked up because of which fireworks were heard equally in all parts of the map. Solution - download 11 gigabytes of updates to remove this hassle!

Well it's not the first time the french congratulate the US for their independence and liberty. Don't see how it's trying to win sympathy.. sympathy for what?

I would have ended the headline right there - just imagine the reuse value!

Cheers!

It could have been locale-based. I imagine the US players were pretty pleased with the shooty-bangs, while the rest of the world doesn't care that much.
