The new game from creators of Borderlands is - Project 1v1

For a moment, it seemed to us that Gearbox Software will after the failure with Battleborne be able to stick with already proved franchises and focus exclusively on Borderlands 3. However, it has now been revealed that the team has completely different plans. Although Borderlands 3 is likely to come, Gearbox will first release a completely new multiplayer game that carries the code name Project 1v1.

It is about a competitive first-person shooter, in which two players measure the strength in a quick battle. It would sound boring that there was no complication - the battle in the arenas was determined by the card element or by the build-up of one's own deck. So, Project 1v1 should be something like Clash Royale, only in the first-person shooter genre.

For now, no platforms were announced on which the game will be available, but it has been said that closed testing will begin this summer. Unfortunately for us, testing will be limited to US servers.

yeah what would borderlands be without a campain?

well yes, this is not borderlands, but it sounds odd to me as well. and an 1 vs 1 shooter doesnt really sound like a long term entertaining idea to me.

I think the same, I would lost interest in something like that really fast.
