New technology of Star Citizen avatar will our silly faces also transfer to the game, if we live to its release
It seems that development team Cloud Imperium Games has too much time and money available because Star Citizen, which was announced in 2012, still has no defined release date. Moreover, at first we were promised that alpha version 3.0 we would play in late 2016, but after a couple of delays the same alpha will be played next month. Probably.
But not to seems like Cloud Imperium Games deals only with delays and disappointment of fans, they`ve recently agreed to collaborate with Faceware Technologies which resulted in an ambitious cool little thing called Face Over Internet Protocol. This technology will capture your face, and the moves of the same will transfer to your character in the game. It is best to see the video we have attached for you below.
It should also be noted that the software is developed to be compatible with most cameras, but 25 to 30 frames per second will not be enough to faithfully transmit lip movements. However, if you want to make full use of all this technology, you can buy a full featured Faceware camera optimized for this purpose.
