USgamer - 9/10
"The design everything else is the problem: the battles are better, but requires polishing, and killing need a separate dedicated button. But overall it's a good game, one of the best in the series. History Baleka beautiful, and as a soft reboot for the franchise, "Sources" do an excellent job. I want to know what happens next".

IGN - 9/10
"The game gives you the opportunity to immerse themselves in the wonderful world of Ancient Egypt with its culture and characters. The project offers such a variety of missions that's ever been in the series".

Game Informer – 8.5/10
"Origins does not rebuild the series, but applies a number of smart, needed changes to the formula, which, despite the updates already showed signs of old age. Increased freedom of approaches to the goal, a more active battle system and the lively world is not just make Egypt an interesting place, but I give the nod to the development of the series, to preserve their individuality".

DualShockers – 8.5/10
"The game represents the most memorable experiences in the series in recent years. She answers to several old questions. In addition, the "Origins" perfect for beginners".

Polygon – 8.5/10
"Inside it's the same old Assassin's Creed, released ten years ago. It's a formula that people like, and it obviously has improved in recent years. And the new game is the best version of this formula. But I want to see a fresh approach and new ideas, worthy of admiration, which calls itself the world game".

GameSpot – 7/10
"Assassin;s Creed has undergone many changes over its long history. And "Origins" felt like the first step of this new journey. The game has its problems, but they are not fatal."

I keep buying these things but the controls and animations are frustrating... plus I've not hear of the assassin just using poison vs stabbing them to death.

Interstellar
