The iconic Gothic 2 received fan remaster with 250 hours of additional content

A couple of weeks ago, the German development team, Piranha Bytes, released its new game called Elex, which to a certain part of the PC platform caused nostalgia for the days when was being played Gothic 2. One of the first good quality RPG titles in the open 3D world 15 years ago created the base of true fans that plays it even today. And not just plays it, but also upgrades it.

Perhaps you are familiar with the mode called Gothic 2 Returning, and if so, you will be glad to hear that it has now come to version 2.0. For those that are not referenced, it is about the mode from a small group of Russian fans of Gothic that refill the game with content and visual processing.

In version 2.0, authors of the mode promise over 300 new quests, more than a hundred new characters and a bunch of new weapons. All this should roughly result that in the Gothic 2 again you spend about 250 hours (!), Especially if you go back to the main campaign to see the new ending of the game.

In the mode there are also eight new locations, a completely remade environment of already existing maps, and also there are some new features of playing in the role of a necromancer and joining to until now unavailable guilds.

The only small obstacle in all this is that there are currently no instructions for installing the mode in English, but if you go here, the instructions you can download also from the German.

I loved Gothic 1 & 2 and especially how Night of the Raven was inregrated into Gothic 2. It's good to see that the game still gets attention and I will certainly have a look at this and the Skyrim mod soon :)

I just hope that the fan who made this gets anything in exchange, imagine wasting 250 hour of your life testing and working for free, and never get any appreciation
