Assassin's Creed Origins in 10 days sold in twice as many copies as Syndicate
Ubisoft has distributed its financial report to its investors for the first half of the fiscal year that ended with 30 September. Even though Assassin's Creed Origins till then has not yet come out on the market, Ubisoft has made an exception and has already informed investors about the sales results of the game. We found out that in the first ten days Assassin's Creed Origins sold twice as many copies than Assassin's Creed Syndicate in the same term in 2015.
It is debatable, however, how much of success is this, given that Syndicate sale results were among the worst in the entire series, what Ubisoft then justified with the fact that players got burned on former AC Unity. Now is certain only that Origins sells more in the digital version - even 35% of sales make a digital version.
In any case, Ubisoft also without Assassin's Creed has solid earnings. Amongst the most prominent are the Rainbow Six Siege, which now stands on big 25 million players (!), and their best-selling new game this year is Ghost Recon Wildlands. Ubisoft's games in the summer period were least sold on the PC (15%), highest on PlayStation 4 (31%), but the fastest on Nintendo Switch (19%).
