Crytek's Warface will mimic PUBG through the new Battle Royale mode
Four years ago creators of Crysis and Far Cry were extremely hot for the free-to-play model, and from that enthusiasm came out a free shooter called Warface. Reviews for the game were not favorable, and that also reflected on the number of players. The game experienced a version for the Xbox 360, but the same was quickly shut down so Warface now lives only through the PC platform. In the meantime, Crytek became embroiled in financial problems and it seemed that Warface had no bright future.
However, this year PUBG happened and many developers jumped on the train of its popularity. Like that also the developer of Warface decided to make a battle royale mode for this game in hope that it will attract more players. The mode will allegedly be experimental and present only temporarily, before developers based on the feedback from players decides how to continue with it. Unlike PUBG and Fortnite, Warface in Battle Royal Edition will support only 16 players per match.
