Vikings are coming, the new Total War game is Thrones of Britannia

  • 15

Creative Assembly has revealed a new game of Total War series, and that one of classic-historical, that has nothing to do with Warhammer. In front of you is the first look at Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia. As the title suggests, the game is located in the area of Great Britain, in the year 878 when Anglo-Saxons are facing the invasion of Vikings.

As you can from the enclosed video notice, the main role of the game will be King Alfred the Great, the first king of England and one of the two rulers who in the entire history of Britain got the name "The Great", and that name was not given to them by their wives.

Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia will be released exclusively for the PC platform during 2018.

Vikings tv series as a total war game, sounds like a game I might enjoy. Total War games have been great, thou not a fan of all the DLC's they sprout out.

Wait wait wait, I 'm confused bcz of the post above mine.... So the game is a Stand Alone game on it's own or a DLC?

A complete new game - not DLC or expansion.

Oh, cool! I haven't picked up a Total War game in a while, because I just haven't had time to really get into it lately. This one might be worth a shot, though!

More Total War games are always a + in my book!

The Total War Hammer games were awesome, so this will (Probably) be awesome as well!

Super excited, plus vikings are well... VIKINGS!

It will be interesting whether they attempt to reshape the game from more strategy-based to a more cartoonish free-for-all, bowing to the pressure of the berserker stereotype. Mixed emotions on which I'd prefer.
