As the year approaches to its end, we have already began to analyze what happened all over it, who pulled the thinner, and who thicker end of the stick. To that analysis its illness gave also YouTube, to us interesting because of gaming context. It is well known that video games along with music (and makeup) are one of the most popular content on YouTube. However, a good deal of popularity goes to Let's Play and similar formats. As far as about trailers for video games is concerned, they are not yet at the level of popularity of other content.

Shows that also the list of ten most watched video trailers in 2017, led by a trailer - from last year. Although at the end of 2016 it already had 33 million views, Hog Rider 360 trailer for Clash of Clans in 2017 was still more watched than any other, new or old trailer for game. It was watched a total of 58.6 million times.

On the list of top ten most watched were found old hits Minecraft and GTA Online, as well as this year's Call of Duty: WWII, Destiny 2, and Star Wars Battlefront 2. For some reason to the list managed also Halo Wars 2 and PES 2017 Mobile.

It is worth mentioning that here are counted only trailers for games, otherwise would be on the list also premier reveal of Xbox One X console. Compared to the previous year, however, was noticed a significant drop in interest for trailers of video games. The ten most watched trailers in 2016 had a total audience of over 207 million views, while in 2017 views barely exceeded 140 million, if we do not count views of Hog Rider during 2016.

Maybe it's just my pay2win bias speaking, but I've always found Clash of Clans advertising to be cringey. Would never willingly subject myself to it, but again, there's 0% chance I'd spend money in their app so I guess they aren't losing anything.

I know why Clash of Clans is number one that list. That's because it has over 100 millions of installs on Android and god knows how many on iOS. Kinda weird that a mobile game trailer is on #1, but it runs on pretty much every phone and tablet.
