Rune: Ragnarok is a Nordic RPG without Thor, but there's Loki

  • 18

Last year Human Head Studios announced the game Rune: Ragnarok as a very ambitious RPG project in the open world with Nordic mythology. Now we received the first trailer for the game and we have to admit it looks ... fanciful. The only bad thing is that the developer has released the trailer at a time when the thematically similar God of War got its promotion.

In any case, Rune: Ragnarok is currently in pre-alpha phase. Once out of it, it will be a game in which we will have to survive nine worlds and dangerous Nordic opponents in order to ultimately oppose Loki and stop Ragnarok. Interesting thing of the game is that it will have a cooperative PvE gameplay, but also PvP battles in which will be carried out base invasions. There are great chances that we can ride the dragons. Its something that we did last year in Shadow of War, but riding dragons never comes out of fashion.

I was dreaming about Viking RPG where all scandinavian myths are real.

Amazing. I really liked the first Rune (but it did not age well). Looking forward to co-op especially!

In Norse mythology, what happens after the "final battle"?

The surviving gods oversee an Adam and Eve-ish rebirth of the world.

Thanks for the education!
