Microsoft has confirmed that State of Decay 2, the zombie-survival RPG from Undead Labs, will release on May 22 for the Xbox One family of consoles as well as Windows PC as a Play Anywhere title. It will also be available that day on Xbox Game Pass. Furthermore, Microsoft also confirmed a price point of $29.99USD/$49.95AUD for the standard edition and $49.99USD/$69.95AUD for the Ultimate Edition.

On the subject of the lower-than-expected price, Microsoft GM of Games Marketing Aaron Greenberg said, “Our goal is to build a long-term relationship with the State of Decay community and to foster deeper experiences with the franchise. We believe State of Decay 2 accomplishes this goal by immersing fans in the ultimate zombie survival fantasy, and we want to give more players the opportunity to join in and experience this unique game.”

The aforementioned Ultimate Edition will include early access to State of Decay 2 on May 18 and a free Xbox One copy of State of Decay: Year One Survival Edition as well as the Independence Pack and Daybreak Pack DLCs, which will be released at a TBD date.

State of Decay 2 is the long-anticipated sequel to the surprise multi-million-selling zombie apocalypse sim that debuted on Xbox Live Arcade in June 2013. The sequel was unveiled at E3 2016 and runs on Unreal Engine 4, replacing the original game’s CryEngine. It promises four-player co-op multiplayer.

Gameplay reveal today.  I want to see if its a more open world Left 4 Dead with rpg elements (loot and crafting) like in Vermintide 2.  That would be awesome.

Interstellar

Very wonderful, I always look with interest new materials.
