PES after ten years lost its license for the Champions League and Europa League
A season of club football slowly approaches its end, and with it will next month conclude also prestigious competitions - Champions League and Europa League. Both competitions in virtual shape can be experienced exclusively in the game Pro Evolution Soccer 2018, which will also be the last Konami game with a licence for UEFA competitions.
Namely, it was confirmed that Konami and UEFA after the Champions League final will split in their partnership, which means that the future games of PES series will remain unlicensed for the aforementioned competition. The partnership between Konami and UEFA has lasted for a decade and so far it has been a torn in the eye of FIFA series fans.
It is not known yet whether this means that the UEFA competition license will now come into the hands of EA Sports. From UEFA, they are saying that they are grateful to Konami for their cooperation so far and that their relationship will remain strong while exploring alternative ways to continue their cooperation.
