After a small trolling, Microsoft displayed a trailer for Gears of War 5

Near the end of the Microsoft E3 conference, a recognizable Gears of War logo appeared on the grand canvas behind the stage but did not announce Gears of War 5 as we all expected, but some kind of mobile game called Gears Pop.

And just when we thought Microsoft has gone completely crazy and went through paths of Electronic Arts, which yesterday at its own E3 conference instead of the real Command & Conquer strategy announced  C & C like Clash Royale, Microsoft confirmed these doubts by announcing a tactical Gears of War game called Gears Tactics. Crazy! It will be a turn-based strategy like X-COM, just in the Gears world.

All that is fine and looks relatively interesting, but fans of Gears were stunned - is it possible they will not announce the normal Gears of War game? Long awaited five?

But then it happened - trolling came to an end and Microsoft pulled out big guns - Gears of War 5 was officially announced and premiered.

In Gears of War 5 we will play as a heroine Kait Diaz and travel through "the most beautiful Gears world ever created," says an official description of the top trailer. We can play solo or with a friend in co-op, either locally through split screens or online. Of course, all of this will be able to experience in 4K resolution with HDR and "smooth 60 frames per second" somewhere during 2019 (this is the closest we are currently aware of when it comes to release date).

I'm good on both Gears POP and Gears Tactics.  Let me just get Gears 5 already!
