CSGO eSports | apEX, NBK, RpK, ZywOo & Happy close to signing with Vitality
About a month ago, we told you about a new French team being built by former VeryGames, Titan and EnVyUs player, Nathan “NBK” Schmitt. This new roster was created from scratch with players coming from different places and currently in rather complicated situations.
NBK and Dan “apEX” Madesclaire are both currently benched in G2 Esports. Vincent “Happy” Cervoni and Cédric “RpK” Guipouy respectively had almost 3 and 2 really rough years with EnVyUs which include a lot of failures. Lastly, Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut is the new hope of the French scene and is finally free to fully focus on CS after finishing school and playing for about a year and a half in WySix and aAa.
As announced, these five players will be coached by Philippe “faculty” Rodier, a former 1.6 player. He studied mental preparation, football coaching and met various renowned coaches while he was writing his book about the coaching role in football (“L’entraîneur idéal” / The ideal coach).
The problem with the team is that apEX and NBK are still under contract with G2 Esports and ZywOo with Team-aAa. So an organization has to buy them otherwise the project simply cannot exist.
According to our information, the team is closer than ever to signing with Vitality. Some details are still left but our sources told us that the negotiations are moving in the right direction and an agreement is very close to being reached.
Team Vitality is a French esports organization with top players and teams competing in League of Legends, Call of Duty, FIFA, Rainbow Six, H1Z1, PUBG, Hearthstone, Clash Royale, Fortnite and Rocket League.
This announcement would be extremely good news for French CS. With Vitality being arguably the number one organization in the country, the local CS scene could therefore benefit from this very strong presence and attract new fans.
Vitality would then be :
Nathan “NBK” Schmitt
Dan “apEX” Madesclaire
Vincent “Happy” Cervoni
Cédric “RpK” Guipouy
Mathieu”ZywOo” Herbaut
Philippe “faculty” Rodier (coach)
