Rumor: Rocksteady Games Project Might Actually Be a Harry Potter Game With Possible Leaked Footage
We’ve been talking for quite some time now that Rocksteady Games was working on something big, such as a proposed Superman game or maybe even a Justice League game. But what if they were, in fact, working on an entirely different property? Like, say, Harry Potter?
That’s what YouTube channel RastaPasta believes, as it has reportedly posted some “leaked” footage from the company’s forthcoming project, which appears to be an open-world adventure based around the Harry Potter universe.
The video, which can be seen above (until it’s taken down or proven to be fake, anyway), features some very convincing footage from within Harry’s Wizarding World, along with some very fancy looking lighting and spellcasting.
Per RastaPasta, here are the features for the game:
Set in the 19th Century (1800's) Wizarding World, this 3rd person open-world action RPG game centers around your character with unique abilities who has eared a late acceptance to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. You are a newly arrived 5th year student to Hogwarts that demonstrates a latent gift for magic with a unique ability to track and identify remnants of a pottant ancient power.
Upon arrival, strange events begin to materialize In the Forbidden Forrest and trouble begins o brew within the castle walls. Together with Professor Elezar Fig, you embark on a journey through both familiar and never before seen locations to bring to light the truth behind these mysterious occurrences.

This sounds pretty amazing; and judging by some of the reactions from Harry Potter fans, this could be the game that they’ve been waiting for since the early days of the franchise in video games.
But, as always, take it with a grain of salt. WB Games hasn’t said a word about this, nor has Rocksteady; and considering that it’s off-screen footage (convincing as it may appear to be as some), it’s nowhere near official. And it could be fake, of course.
That said, if it does end up being real, WB Games could have a huge hit on its hands for 2019 or whenever it decides to release the game. We’ll keep tabs on what’s happening and see what Rocksteady confirms in the months ahead.
Perhaps during The Game Awards? We could certainly use some magic for the holiday season...
