As DDR4 RAM is more expensive and DDR3 can't be used in new systems - doesn't make much sense to upgrade as you get just a bit better performance and 25W/hour savings during gameplay, so each 40 hours save you 1kWh (more, if you need to actively  cool your room, less if you need to heat it up).

Plus, CPU vulnerabilities are not yet fixed in hardware.
