Ring of Elysium Adds Security Features & Optimizations

  • 14

Ring of Elysium developers have announced that new security meausres have been put into place alongside a number of optimization improvements. "The host of newly implemented features designed to protect the game's fair play environment include technical upgrades and cheater behavior analysis have revitalized the game environment for players."

Since launching the new security measures on January 27th, over 5,300 players have been identified and banned for "displaying cheating behavior". Devs also report that in-game reports have been reduced nearly in half.

Players have had an issue with the game client requiring administrator permission to launch, but the team is working with TenProtect to remove the request through more optimizations of the security program.

Dear players,

Since our comprehensive Anti-Cheat system upgrade on Jan. 27th (this includes tech upgrades and cheater behavior pattern analysis upgrades), a total of 5,306 cheating players got banned. In addition, the amount of daily in-game reports dropped by 41%, and the number of convicted cheaters who got reported by more than 3 players dropped by 64%, the game environment has recovered to a healthy level similar to early January. This shows that the Anti-Cheat update has effectively alleviated the cheater problem and successfully protected the game's fair play environment.

Combating cheaters will always be our long-term, top priority task. In the future, we will continue to delve deep in this direction, keep updating our Anti-Cheat system, and assure a high-standard, healthy game environment for all players. We hope that everyone will continue to help us by taking stand against any type of behavior that harms the game environment; report suspicious players via the in-game report system or our customer support email: roe@tencent.com. Thank you so much for your understanding and support.
