Apex Legends is getting a new gun tomorrow

Just a quick note: Respawn announced that it'll be announcing a new gun for Apex Legends tomorrow, an unnamed rifle shown in the pixelated clip on Twitter above.

My guess is that the gun will use energy ammo, given the electric blue particles shown in the tease, and the fact that only two of the 19 Apex Legends guns use this ammo type. The gun appears to be shot rapidly, but I can't tell if what I'm seeing (and hearing) at the end of the clip is a charged-up shot. It really seems like the cylinder in the middle of the gun is spinning as the player slides downhill at the end of the video. Apex currently has three assault rifles, three SMGs, four shotguns, four sniper rifles, and three pistols, so my guess is this one will add to the pile of ARs.

Arriving two weeks and two days after launch, this update might be an early sign of the pace Respawn wants to set with Apex Legends. We'll see if they try to match the cadence Epic has set with Fortnite's nearly weekly changes, events, and surprise additions.
