Apex Legends Players Voicing Their Frustration over Lack of Season 1 Announcement
Many Are Wondering When the Season 1 Announcement for Apex Legends Is Coming
Previously Respawn has announced that Season 1 would be coming to Apex Legends sometime in March and when the 1st of the month came and went without so much as a tease about when to expect the new content, many were left wondering when it’s set to arrive.
Yesterday, instead of making an announcement about Season 1, Respawn announced that some popular gamers would be competing in an Apex Legends tournament, though this wasn’t what many were hoping for. Instead of excitement about the tournament, this post on Twitter was met with a lot of players being very vocal about a lack of information for when the new content will be out. What’s interesting though is that Respawn never stated they would be making an announcement on the very first day of the month, and there’s still plenty of time for the battle pass to launch.
According to the roadmap released early in February, sometime in March Apex Legends will be flooded with new content including a battle pass, new Legends, weapons and loot. Again, there was no official date confirmed at any time. Now maybe Respawn’s past release strategy played into this frustration a bit, where Apex Legends was launched just a day after a tease was released. The same thing happened with Havoc, the first gun released after launch, where it was added to the game just one day after the teaser trailer dropped. With that said however, Respawn has not teased any announcement whatsoever about Season 1, therefore the expectation that it would release yesterday seems a little absurd.
There has since been a development though, as there have been two leaks spotted on Reddit showcasing that Octane is indeed the next incoming Legend, and that the new season will be released on March 12th. Keep in mind that at this time, these are just rumours and should be taken with a grain of salt.
