New wave of Cheats in Apex Legends even after last week's Ban wave

  • 95

Players thought they were safe after last week's ban wave in Apex Legends that witnessed 350,000 accounts being banned.  However, a post on Reddit is making the rounds, reporting on a new surge of "soft-cheating".

According to player Darth Aesder:

cheaters are now reducing their aimbots to levels indiscernible to an anti cheat algorithm, but obvious enough from the receiving end of it. When spectating them you can see the aimbot locking on, but their cheats give a buffer of missed shots to fool the accuracy counter.

This new wave of cheating seems to be predominantly linked to China, and players have been petitioning Apex Legends to region lock the game.  Only time will tell if Respawn will be able to adjust their algorithms to catch this new wave of cheaters.

If you are experiencing this in your Apex Legends gameplay, don't hesitate to report it!
