You won't rage at PC requirements for Rage 2
Although Rage 2 essentially looks like "Doom with vehicles," the fact is that these two games use two separate engines. As Rage 2 was developed in collaboration with the id Software with the makers of Just Cause series, their Apex Engine was used. The same did not really got famous in recent games - in 2015 it was crazy demanding in Just Cause 3, and in Just Cause 4 it did not bring a particularly high-quality display. We do not know what the situation will be with Rage 2, but we know at least what will the game ask from PC hardware.
PC requirements are as follows:
Minimal Rage PC:
- CPU: Intel Core i5-3570 or AMD Ryzen 3 1300X
- GPU: Nvidia GTX 780 or AMD R9 280
- RAM: 8 GB
- HDD: 50 GB
Recommended Rage PC:
- CPU: Intel Core i7-4770 or AMD Ryzen 5 1600X
- GPU: Nvidia GTX 1070 or AMD Vega 56
- RAM: 8 GB
- HDD: 50 GB
All in all, it's not scary, and PC players with this information can look forward to some more news. The game will feature a FOV slider with up to 120 degree setting, option to turn off HUD and crosshair (separately), motion blur settings and DOF effects, and support for 21:9 and 32:9 monitors.
