Epic Store Shoots itself in the Foot - Account locks when Buying too many Games

Epic has been roaring ahead with the launch of its storefront to compete with Valve.  It has been quite successful so far but during its first ever Mega Sale event, unfortunate things have been happening in terms of games being pulled from the store by developers amid too aggressive price cuts.

In the latest development, apparently the Epic Store doesn't like it when you buy too many games!  In fact, if you buy 5 or more games, your account will be locked by Epic!

According to streamer Patrick Boivin, it was revealed via Twitter that he and other users have had their accounts flagged as fraudulent after buying multiple games.

So thanks to Epic, you'll be saving a lot of money...even when you don't want to!

“This was a result of our aggressive fraud rules,” said Epic senior PR Nick Chester. “If players run into this issue, they should contact player support so we can investigate.”
