Analizan técnicamente el remake de The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening

The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening will come to Nintendo Switch on September 20 adapting the Game Boy title to the new console. Digital Foundry has technically analyzed the game in a preliminary way, giving details of its adaptation, resolution and FPS.

A laudable adaptation, a beautiful artistic section and a frame rate that oscillates too much.

In the analysis of Eurogamer, they emphasize that the adaptation and audiovisual presentation of the videogame is impeccable. This is a conversion almost 1:1 of the game of Game Boy, respecting areas, scenarios, disposition of enemies and many of the details. As explained by Grezzo, the team in charge of the adaptation, has managed to capture the classic graphics of the laptop in this new 3D version without losing the original charm of the title in 2D.

Although graphically it is very beautiful and there are details everywhere, there is still room for improvement. The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening works at 60 FPS indoors and in dungeons, but once we go outside, the game has performance problems in the version that the media has been able to test. According to Digital Foundry, The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening uses a double buffer for vertical synchronization, so the game does not reach the indicated frame rate, the performance is cut in half. In this way, the title oscillates too between 30-60 FPS in its exploration in more open or outdoors scenarios.
