Tetris 99 will get 2 offline modes and physical copies
Tetris 99 is a free game that requires a monthly Nintendo Switch Online subscription. Offline play was added with the Big Block DLC which costs $9.99. The Big Block DLC includes:
- CPU Battle: Battle against 98 bots. Defeat the machines!
- Marathon: Go for the most lines and the highest score!
Recently Ninento have announced that the game will also be available in stores starting 20/09 this year. The pack will include the free game, the Big Block DLC and a 12 months sub for Nintendo Switch Online. This same deal is already available in Japan, but the company wants to bring it in the West too.

Also the BIg Block DLC will get 2 new offline modes later this year:
Later this year, two offline local multiplayer modes will be added to #TETRIS99's Big Block DLC. Up to eight friends can battle together in Local Arena, while two players can share Joy-Con controllers in 2P Share Battle! @tetris_official
The new offline modes are:
- Local Arena: Get up to eight friends together for a local battle!
- 2P Share Battle: Share Joy-Con controllers for a two-player game!
