Death Stranding: box art revealed, we learn some details about Heartman, and Keanu was almost in the game
Heartman
Firstly, thanks to gamerant.com, we learnt a bit about one major character from the Death Stranding, Heartman (who will be portrayed in-game by movie director Nicolas Winding Refn, but will be voiced by another actor). Heartman is a character that can only be alive 21 minutes at a time and then dies for 3 minutes, time in which he searches for his family "who were lost during the Death Stranding event, on the other side." When Sam (Norman Reedus) firstly meets him he's dead, but awakens to talk to Sam. Heartman spends his time alive searching for music and movies that can be consumed in 20 minutes. This character seems really strange and somewhat wacky, but we'd expect nothing less from Hideo Kojima.

And finally, thanks to a tweet from a SDCC attendee we learnt that Keanu Reeves could've been in DS but Kojima really wanted to work with Mads Mikkelsen:
