Full Reveal of Respawn’s ‘AAA VR shooter’ Coming to Oculus Connect with Playable Demo

Apart from Valve's unannounced and yet confirmed VR game for 2019, Respawn's upcoming ' AAA VR shooter ' is perhaps the most anticipated VR game disclosure, not only because so little has been communicated about it so far, but also the studio behind Titanfall 1 & 2, Apex Legende, and the upcoming STAR Wars Jedi: Fallen Order because of its severe pedigree in constructing it.

The VR game was first announced back in 2017, which is still unnamed. Respawn develops and publishes the game, which implies that the game is exclusive to the Oculus Platform. As we know, Rift confirms the game, but it isn't evident whether it's going to be Quest. The only real information that's been given about the game thus far is this teaser video and what we've been able to glean from Respawn's job listings, which have characterized it as a “AAA VR shooter.”

Moreover, the game knows almost nothing, not even whether it is single player or multiplayer. But at the sixth annual developer case of Oculus, Oculus Connect 6, at the end of September, we will lastly get some true details — almost two years since the game's announcement.

Oculus announced today that Oculus Connect 6 registration is formally open and confirmed that the first playable demo of Respawn's VR game is disclosed at the case.

While the first announcements said the game will be launched in 2019, we are over half way through the year ; as the news comes only three months before the year's end, Oculus either will be crouching a lot of marketing for the next few months for a holiday launch or the game will be postponed by 2020, as we previously saw with Lone Echo II.
