Nvidia has released RTX Voice application that removes background noise, it works like magic
Newer GeForce graphics cards can now help you make your microphone sound much cleaner.
Nvidia graphics cards are more expensive than anything else on the market, but some will say that they come with some benefits, like NvEnc encoder, much frequent driver updates or more GeForce Experience tools. One of such benefits as of recent is the RTX Voice - a plugin that will help streamers as well as anyone else with volume problems while communicating online.
Specifically, RTX Voice is a plugin for removal of background noise, the so-called noise suppression tool. So, things like a loud washing machine, neighbors bickering upstairs, or your keyboard hitting- all of this can be silenced with RTX Voice without silencing the voice of anyone who communicates via microphone.
Unlike other similar solutions, RTX Voice uses GeForce graphics card hardware. As its name suggests, it is primarily compatible with the RTX series, but also works with card series 10 and 16 as well. It can be used in programs such as OBS, XSplit, Discord, Chrome, Skype, Slack and others.
The software is in beta and doesn't always work perfectly, but when it works, it's quite powerful. Here's how RTX Voice sounds in action.
