NieR Automata Comic Book Adaptation Inbound
Square Enix has reasons to be satisfied. NieR: Automata already sold over five million copies. It is by far the biggest hit of the Japanese studio PlatinumGames.
Last May, 4 million sold copies were reported, and three months ago, 4.85 million copies were reported to have been moved, which means the game still finds new buyers.
The game received a very warm reception - on Metacritic, the PS4 edition has an average rating of 88%, and thePC edition - 84%.
While announcing the latest sales results, the creators also revealed a manga adaptation of the game's story. Megumi Soramichi, known from such comic book series as Chivalry of a Failed Knight or Zombieland Saga, will be the illustrator.
Manga is not the only attraction that fans can expect. A few days ago it was announced that on February 18, 2021 a mobile game NieR Re[in]carnation will launch in Japan. On this occasion, there will be an event in NieR: Automata to advertise the launch of the game, although for the time being it is not known whether owners of English language versions of the game will also be able to participate.
Next year is also said to bring the relase of NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139..., a remastered and expanded version of the previous installment.
