Dead Space Remake Announced

The original Dead Space game is getting remade in a new engine (Frostbite). They made it clear it's not a reboot or re-imagining of the franchise; nor is it a simple remaster of the original game. It's getting remade by a (mostly) entirely new team instead of the original team that made Dead Space. The team has worked on Star Wars: Squadrons and the single-player campaign of Star Wars: Battlefront II in the past.

The first two games were met with generally favorable reviews, but after the third game got a luke warm reception from gamers and sales were "lower than expected" the series kind of fizzled out. Personally I really enjoyed the first game, the second game was alright too, never got around to playing the third one due to negative reviews, so I'm curious what this remake will end up like.

The game will be available on: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Windows PC
No release date has been given so far.

This has potential to be good, but I wish they would've made a new game instead. I feel like its going to be another Mafia:DE or Kiwami. a decent/good game that feels super short and rushed due to its story being from 15 years ago. I'm still hopeful though.

Well it's a complete remake in a new engine, from what I've seen they will be adding (small) things as well. I think the original game has a decent game lenght if you don't rush it. A new Dead Space game would be cool, but I'd rather have the original team for such an endevour but alas. It does seem the current team is passionate about the project and trying to listen to fans though.
