The menu bar at the top is nice, but I find the front page to be extremely...busy.
Also, while I like the idea behind it, the "You've Got X Quests" bit is inherently broken because 1) the minigame, even after completing it for the day, conintues to show an "Incomplete" status (until the Quest just vanishes and is replaced by the next minigame), and 2) Steam Quests can't only be completed once a week, but because it wipes the earned ARP the day after completion, that "You Got X Quests" reminder registers those Quests are available. So, while that information could be useful, that alert/reminder isn't because it's registering completed Quests as available. It's a nice idea but, at present, poorly implemented.
Additionally, I kind of wish they'd give the forums a visual overhaul, too. For example, instead of just a black background, how about a smattering of stars and/or swirls of color like a nebula, or similar space/sci-fi elements? And instead of the boring beige color currently used, what about a cool metallic look? And, for the love of Xenu, can we maybe get an optional Dark theme (black background and white - or neon green - text)? Or maybe a variety of themes/skins or color options to suit personal tastes?
The overhaul, the changes, seems a bit half-hearted. Though, I guess it's entirely possible that those sort of things are in the works, that they are planning a more thorough visual overhaul but they're rolling changes out little by little, rather than take the site down for 24-72 hours. But if that were the case, it'd be nice if there was maybe a News article announcing the upcoming changes, maybe with a few teaser images of those new layouts/themes/UI changes. Just a thought.
