The more ARP you've gotten, the higher your tier. Lunar > Planetary(2500) > Solar(7000) > Galactic(12000) > Interstellar(18000)

The tiers determine which giveaways you're allowed to grab. So the higher the tier, the better the potential giveaway like in the game vault every month. But you are kinda competeing with a lot of people regardless the tier.
