Hello Neighbor Alpha 3 Live

Guys, it's finally here. The long awaited Alpha 3 is now available! And let me tell you something, it's freaking crazy. This build is definitely far better than all the other previous builds. I didn't record any gameplay because the neighbor pissed me off. He is ridiculously relentless. And the house... my God... the house. I took a screenshot of it.

Couldn't quite capture the windmill above too. The house is quite confusing but it's still fun. Many of its doors are still locked off but it is pretty cool that some streamers have been trying to find new secrets. Here are the official patch notes:

What's new?

  • New huge house with a windmill

  • Improved AI

  • First pass of the surrounding areas

Details on the improved AI:

  • Reworked on pathfinding, the AI should navigate multiple floors

  • Widened perception of surroundings. AI reacts to moved objects, opened doors, lights, etc -- depending on his memory of the previous state of said objects

  • Modified the traps system, it's now real-time. The AI will now place traps also based on environmental changes, not just player behaviors.

  • Added post-failed attacks analysis. AI will analyze what went wrong & why, and try to prevent it from happening again

  • AI now sees your flashlight when it's on

  • AI now throws glue that slows you down, trying to aim based on your run trajectory

  • You're now slightly faster than the AI

There are some things tinyBuild didn't mention. Compared to the previous builds, you can't sleep in your bed. This kinda sucks because there are times where you just want to sleep and "reset" the neighbor. I can see why they removed sleeping since it's always nighttime, which contributes to it being hella dark! I'm not joking man. It is insanely dark in this build and you have to always use the flashlight to traverse the area. The new build also makes it that the neighbor can see you when you turn on the flashlight so now you will have to be smart on when to use it. The neighbor is really difficult this time around. He is way too smart. He sets up traps in real time. It bewilders me. I run back to my house to be safe then when I go back the front door in a minute, he already installed a security camera??? How is that even possible!? And the white stuff (supposedly glue) he throws at you to slow you down? That's not cool at all. Alpha 3 is fun but it's also very challenging. I managed to beat it but I had to look up a guide to figure out a few things. I definitely recommend playing it if you ever get the chance. It feels closer to the final game set to summer 2017. I look forward to the next build!

Any of you guys play it yet? If so, what you guys think?

Interstellar

30 euros for a clearly unfinished really short and small indie title? No, thank you.
