Darkest Dungeon Radiant Mode Coming in February; The Crimson Court DLC Pushed Back to April

  • 80

In an update on Darkest Dungeon’s Website, Red Hook Studios revealed that they are planning to release Radiant Mode for Darkest Dungeon in early February, and that The Crimson Court DLC has been pushed by to April.

Radiant Mode, which was revealed back in December, aims to shorten the game’s length from 80 hours to around 40 hours by making tweaks to things such as the time it takes to build up your roster and foray into the Darkest Dungeon. While the PC, Mac, and Linux versions of Darkest Dungeon will get the update in early February, the PS4 and PS Vita versions won’t get the update until a later date. Red Hook Studios also hopes to have a small public beta right before release, as they have done with previous updates.

They also revealed that the The Crimson Court DLC’s release has been pushed to April due to the work being done on the Radiant Mode update. Red Hook says a “significant amount of work” has already been completed on the DLC, and that they will reveal more about the The Crimson Court closer to its release.

Yeah that would be great. By the time you reach the end of the game and doing the final dungeon, you have a huge chance to lose your guys considering how frustratingly hard it is, and its becoming a choir to rehire other people and level them up to 6 everytime one of your guy dies, since you can't take the same heroes more than once after you've done a final dungeon run.

@Sulimen Yeah it can be pain in the ass to rebuild your party after someone dies.

In addition to this post, except new game mode there will be few new things like new mosnters "...we are adding a new monster to each region for Champion Dungeons..."  and "... number of tweaks, tuning adjustments and improvements that affect all modes..."

Great to read news like that. I was going to visit Darkest Dungeon again. I have another reason to do that now. :)
