Overwatch players are not happy because Mei has lost weight in the new update

  • 223

Overwatch these days has recently got a new seasonal event, and with it also additional content. The so-called "Year of the Rooster" on the occasion of the Chinese New Year has brought a new mode which is a variation of the CTF, new costumes for characters, redesign Lijiang Tower map, new loot boxes and somewhat unexpectedly - quite a lot of bugs.

One of these bugs disrupt the appearance of Mei-Ling Zhiou, plump Chinese woman who in the Luna and Chang'e costumes lost a couple of pounds. The fans have noticed how Mei`s waist looks strange in these costumes, more accurately said disproportionately to the rest of the body.

While some immediately thought that Blizzard wanted to correct Mei`s appearance, at the end turns out that this is not the case but for the magic weight loss fault is the bug. The problem has already been corrected in an internal build, but all the players will be corrected only in the next update.

Because low temperatures burn calories

Hahaha, nice.

Overwatch has a very serious fan base (as do most Blizzard games). I don't see why they'd be upset but honestly, it makes sense because of the fan base and who made the game..

Resident Metal Head

The world we live in... Honestly I don't even see it like she lost a ton of weight (based on viewing images, I don't play), but rather the clothes she's wearing aren't as thick. Seriously, compare someone in a thin shirt to a huge winter jacket designed for -30c and below weather. They're going to appear different in size.

The Hattiest Hattington

Some people really need to get out more, if this is the type of thing that upsets them there is something missing in their lives.

All that running around on these maps day and night, those calories have to burn somehow.....

Overhype surrounds overwatch with every new bug/change/balance. Bigger the community the more crybabys you will find ^ ^

As is expected of blizzard games!

People are always looking for a reason to get upset. It looks to me like they were just trying to make a more balanced polygon model that was originally a little lopsided.
